Stop and Frisk in NYC: racial profiling, effectiveness?
Aggressive anti-gun stop and frisk tactics by NYPD may be on their way out.
Judging from the graph, it appears SQF has kept both property and violent the crime rates down. This is a tough one for me as I'm not familiar with large urban environments. That said, the indiscriminate use of SQF does violate people's 4th amendment constitutional right against unreasonable searches. I suppose a standing warrant to search known gang members in troubled areas would be a legitimate use of SQF. What's your take?
