NRA a terrorist organization?
This writer labels the NRA a terrorist organization. I wonder how long it will take Hillary and Obama to list is formally. I guess the Second Amendment was an anti-federalist plot to ruin the country. The Second Amendment is a "technicality." I wonder how many other things in the Bill of Rights are only "technicalities." Make no mistake, opposition to the Second Amendment is strident, shrill and dedicated. Proposals to repeal the Amendment surface regularly. More left-wing authoritarianism.

Consider the author's disjointed biography. A so called voracious reader, I do believe it was all fantasy novels. His commentary is completely out of touch with reality. As a NRA life member, I've been terrorized by Mr. Johnson's stupidity.
ReplyDeleteAlthough gun control advocates are getting less influential and less media attention lately, all it takes for our 2nd Amendment rights to be further eroded is a decision by the president, using his executive power during a crisis that won't go to waste, to limit firearms use or ownership in a significant way. Perhaps another nutcase that shoots a politician?
ReplyDeleteDaniel Johnson is simply a naive Canadian who doesn't allow his lack of experience with U.S. culture to prevent him from claiming profound insight on our mental defects. I wouldn't get all tensed up like Chicken Little here.
ReplyDeleteThanks 44, jr and Ridgway. The problem is not Johnson, the problem is that he reflects the attitudes of many
ReplyDeleteAMERICANS.
And reflects the attitudes of many reporters as well.
ReplyDeleteWhen you find tyrannical and/or terror supporting regimes hiding behind a knotted gun barrel sculpture at the UN, it's obvious what they fear most. A freedom loving armed citizenry ready to defend their lives, homes and local communities. To Americans north, south and in between who just don't get it, that's what our republic's union of states is all about. " ... the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.".
ReplyDeleteThe National Rifle Association labled as a terrorist organization is a bold statement. First, the individual members should be analyzed to discover their political ideologies and if they are a threat. Second, there may well be small groups of members in rural areas who hold racial, radical or even terrorist beliefs but the majority of members, more lilely than not, are persone who feel gun ownership is a right and enjoy, hunting, sport shooting and gun collecting.
ReplyDeleteHow many of you know that the Earth Liberation Front splinter groups are responsible for the most destructive
terrorist acts in the United States short of The Oklahoma City Bombing and the Twin Towers? Since 1997 through 2009 the ELF is responsible for 95 domestic terror attacks in the United states. Many of them killing the animals they arre trying to protect. The total of these attacks are over a billion dollars.
While the FBI has benn able to inflitrate Islamic Terror Cells, Biker Gangs, Drug Trafficking organizations and intercept individual domestic terrorists. The ELF has benn nearly impossible to get undercover agents to infiltrate. Their weapon- Arson!
