Primer on Driving While Stoned

Although it may not contain anything some of you don't already know, this is a good, short article.

  1. The real concern is an impaired driver regardless of what drink, drug or other debilitating factor was involved. Every impaired MVA I've ever assisted with in the ER was due to lack of rest. None involved drugs. And this accounted for many cases over the years.

The only time I saw a drug involved was my own close on-road encounter with a drunk woman. She drove onto the right shoulder as her car passed around mine headed in the opposite direction. She then pulled to the left directly behind me hitting another woman's car fully head-on. The victim's injuries appeared far worse than those of the drunk woman.
