FBI reports that 56 U.S. Peace Officers feloniously killed in 2010
Disturbing numbers considering total assaults. All but one were killed by a firearm? And the one by a car used as a weapon. Goes to show any item can be used to cause harm when in the hands of criminals or the mentally ill. According to subject matter experts, far more lives are saved by guns while a greater number of deaths are caused by motor vehicle accidents. According to the FBI's figures, a badge is apparently viewed as a target by some in society. Very sad.
