Bystander shot by police in Chicago
The mayor promises more training, tasers, etc but problems continue in Chicago. According to the NYT: "On Saturday, an officer fatally shot Quintonio LeGrier, a 19-year-old college student said to have been wielding a metal baseball bat. During the same episode, police gunfire also accidentally struck and killed a bystander, Bettie Jones, 55." Hopefully, the death of a totally innocent person will spur real reform in Chicago. How many other innocent bystanders will have to die before cities like Chicago pull it together?
