University Police Officer indicted for murder
A university of Cincinnati police officer has been indicted, arrested and released on bail for the alleged murder in the death of an apparently unarmed black male during a traffic stop. This appears to the first recent case involving an alleged murder by a university police officer.

The young officer's body camera is solid evidence he overreacted to a non-threatening situation. The driver appeared to be unimpaired as he reached down to start his engine in an attempt to drive away. His other hand was clearly in view on the door. I never saw the victim touch the officer nor expose any weapon. From my perspective, it appears this was a gross misuse of deadly force by the officer.
ReplyDeleteIt looks that way at this point.
