Another Democratic politician from Chicago goes down

Chicago is one of the nation's most corrupt cities and Illinois one of its most corrupt states.  Here's the latest:
Jesse Jackson, Jr.  (Chicago Democrat,  politician and former  U.S. congressman, son of black leader Jesse Jackson), and his wife pleaded guilty to federal charges.  His wife was a former Chicago alderman.

    Many parents are driven by ego to raise "entitled" offspring . . . it's one of the most destructive lessons that one can teach a kid. It takes guts to bring up a sensitive, humble son or daughter in an environment of privilege ---- obviously Sr. had trouble doing so.
    More comical, I think, is the recent revelation about one of Bill Clinton's most ardent persecutors, Pete Domenici. We now have a new high water mark for hypocrisy.

    During the Clinton impeachment I remember someone saying (I think it was Larry Flynt) that Republicans tend to have dirty sex secrets and Democrats have money scandals.
